We spent a beautiful weekend up at the property. We went to work on the grounds, and of course to check progress. We have a roof! Our builder uses a team of 4 Mexican brothers to do his roofs. These guys were amazing to watch (they were working up there both days to finish it). They must be part mountain goat. Our roof starts about 20' up in the air, and it's steeply pitched. They were walking and crawling all over it like they were 2' off the ground.
Steve brought his chainsaw and we worked Saturday on turning one of our downed trees into firewood. He went through 2 chainsaw blades and we really didn't even make a dent. There are probably a dozen or more trees that need to be cut up. He cut; I stacked - Chainsaw Boy and Woodpile Girl.
It's impossible to pick pictures that really show how awesome the house is. Okay, I'm a little biased, but it is really cool.
