Cabin Update

Not much change from last week. The weather was not very cooperative. We have pickets around the porch. I think that was it.

We did finally decide on a location for the deck stairs, which unfortunately will mean removal and relocation of some of the aforementioned pickets. And we measured and decided on a size for the fireplace. I also came to the realization that we don't really need a door on the side of the house, as we have 2 sets of french doors on the front. We could really use the wall space instead. But, you can't undo the door. We'll probably just not use it and put furniture in front of it.

If I ever build another house, I'll work with an architect to make sure we get things right the first time. Deciding as you go sounds fun and spontaneous, but it also can be expensive and frustrating.

It looks way cool! From the pix you took inside it looks bigger than it does outside. Can't wait to see it.

Deciding as you go doesn't sound like fun at all. Did you not consult an architect beforehand?
