Cabin Update

Not much new. We were up there yesterday and there hasn't been any more construction since the porch was finished. We knew that; but Steve was itching to bring a ladder up there so we could stand on the porch and see what it's going to look like out in the woods after it's finished. So, Steve borrowed an extension ladder, strapped it to the Pathfinder, and off we went. We brought some subs and drinks from Subway, set up the ladder and had a picnic on our porch.

There were some wood scraps lying about up top, so I stacked them up for a makeshift tripod and took this picture.

On our way out of Burnsville, we stopped by another job site where our builder is working to check in and say hello. He's waiting for one of his crews to finish up a current job, then they will bring the forklift and another crew up to our job site to bang it out as soon as possible. The crews are are driving about 1 1/2 hours to our site each way, so that's why they want to wait until they have 2 free crews. Plus, until very recently, the weather has been brutally cold with snow flurries. He did assure us that he has a heating/plumbing guy lined up that has experience with radiant floor heat, who is scheduled to start probably next week.

Anyway, that's the story.

So, was the view all that you hoped it would be?
